Week's Achievements: Junior guard/forward Gavin Block (Lincoln, Ill.) put together a solid weekend to help the Ohio men’s basketball team (2-2) place seventh at the 2017 Gildan Charleston Classic at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C. Block scored a career-high 22 points to lead all scorers and achieved his first career double-double with a career-high 10 rebounds to lead the team, but Ohio couldn't quite rally back from a 16-point second-half deficit, falling to Clemson, 81-76, on Thursday (Nov. 16). Block made a career-high eight field goals -- including a career-high six from beyond the arc. He also logged an assist and a steal in 34 minutes of work. Block then just missed out on a second-straight double-double with 14 points and a team-high nine boards as Ohio suffered a 79-65 setback to Dayton on Friday (Nov. 17). He also distributed a team-high four assists in 34 minutes of work. Block then closed the weekend out by notching nine points, four rebounds and three assists in 54 minutes as Ohio clawed back from an 18-point deficit and outlasted Indiana State in quadruple overtime, 96-94, on Sunday (Nov. 19) in the seventh-place game of the 2017 Gildan Charleston Classic.
