ATHENS, Ohio - Jim Schaus, Ohio University Director of Athletics announced Wednesday at a press conference the establishment of Varsity Ohio - an exclusive organization for former Bobcat student-athlete alumni.

Through the Varsity Ohio organization, student-athletes will be recognized for their time and commitment to Ohio Athletics. Varsity Ohio is free to join and is open to athletes from all sports, past and present, as well as trainers and managers.

As part of this exclusive membership, Varsity Ohio members will have the opportunity to reconnect with former teammates through the former student-athlete database. Members will also have the opportunity to stay connected with Ohio University Athletics through e-mails, newsletters, invitations to events, and the ability to purchase official apparel.
