Ohio Athletics Announces Staff Hirings

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University Athletics department announced the addition of Taylor Blakely Sean Fisher and Chris Sabo on Monday. Blakely comes on board as the Bobcats Assistant Director of Marketing, while Fisher and Sabo will both serve as Assistant Directors of Multi-Media.

Blakely arrives in Athens after spending the 2011-12 academic year at the University of Detroit Mercy, serving in an intern capacity within the Titans' Athletic Department.

During his time at UDM, Blakely aided with the promotions, advertising and marketing of all UDM sporting events including running all game day marketing operations for UDM women's basketball. He also was responsible for processing weekly gift reports for the UDM Athletic Department and acknowledging each gift received.

Blakely earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Physical Education from Mississippi State before working in the University of South Carolina Athletic Marketing department where he Contributed to the execution of pregame and in game promotions for football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.

Fisher and Sabo will work along with Assistant Athletic Director of Multi-Media/Marketing Evan Shawfor the upcoming 2012-2013 season.

Fisher, who hails from Delaware, Ohio recently graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's degree in Video Production and a minor in film. While attending Ohio, Fisher worked within the Bobcats Athletic department from 2009-2012 and filmed segments of the TV mini-series "Relentless: An Inside Look at Ohio Football" and "All In: An Inside Look at Ohio Basketball".

Fisher also worked for the Government Channel in Athens as a camera operator. In addition, he spent time at the WOUB Center for Public Media.

Before Coming to Ohio, Sabo was a Video Operations Graduate Assistant at the University of Akron coordinating practice film and games for the football team to study. From May to August of 2010 he worked as an intern for NFL Films, creating and editing sound on tape pieces for NFL Network's show "The Playbook".

Sabo also obtained a Bachelor's degree in communications at Hiram College. While at Hiram, he was an editor for the football and basketball department, developing promotional highlight films for both teams.
