ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio Athletics has teamed with Legends Sales and Marketing and the Ohio University Center for Sports Administration to launch the Ohio Ticket Sales Team. The partnership focuses on ticket sales and service for each of Ohio’s six ticketed sports.

The three person team is housed within the Ohio Athletics Marketing Department. Team responsibilities include season ticket sales and service, group ticket sales, and single game/promotional tickets. Additionally, each Ohio Football and Men’s Basketball season ticket holder will be assigned an account representative to improve overall customer service.

“Legends Sales and Marketing is thrilled to partner with two outstanding entities, Ohio Athletics and the Center for Sports Administration,” said Chad Estis, President, Legends Sales and Marketing.  “This partnership allows us to bring our professional sales approach into a true learning laboratory for Ohio students.”

Legends Sales & Marketing, owned by the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, Goldman Sachs and the Checketts Partners Investor Fund, has proven experience in selling ticket inventory for sports venues. Legends currently manages ticket sales for the San Francisco 49ers, the Rose Bowl, The Mansion at Churchill Downs, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Red Bulls’ Red Bull Arena, Southern Methodist University along with a number of other professional teams and NCAA athletic departments.

“This will provide our students with practical, real-world sales experience that will greatly enhance their professional development,” said Jim Kahler, Executive Director of the Ohio University Center for Sports Administration. “We look forward to collaborating with Ohio Athletics in this new endeavor.”
