DEAR BOBCAT FANS:

It is a great time to be a Bobcat! Our student-athletes and athletics programs have accomplished some extraordinary things during the 2005-2006 academic year! Most notably, Ohio University has recently posted one of the top graduation rates in the Mid-American Conference. Over the past 10 years, we have graduated 92 percent of our student-athletes who have completed their eligibility. The Bobcats' overall Graduation Success Rate exceeds the national average, and I applaud our present and former student-athletes, coaches and academic support staff for their dedication to academic excellence.

Ohio University has earned national recognition as a leader in higher education. Our academic excellence is unmatched. I am proud to be a part of Ohio's unwavering commitment to education, and I am proud to lead an athletics administration that is focused on shaping the future of an exceptional group of students: our student-athletes.

This is a unique time in the history of Ohio Athletics. Many exciting initiatives have transpired over the past 18 months and our future is tremendous. To fully capitalize on our opportunity to establish Ohio Athletics as the model athletics program in the Mid-American Conference we need your help.

Private funding is critical to our future. As our costs for operation continue to increase, we need everyone to become a member of the newly created Ohio Bobcat Club. By joining the Ohio Bobcat Club you are helping our student-athletes earn their degrees from Ohio University-one of the best academic institutions in the nation-and providing them with the resources to compete for MAC Championships while having a memorable student-athlete experience.
