BOBCAT REWIND: Oct. 24-Oct. 30

Men's Cross Country
-Junior Tyler Ames (Cortland, Ohio) paced all Ohio runners as he placed 10th, finishing in a time of 24:48.0.
-Fellow junior Noah Howkins (Stow, Ohio) also posted a strong performance as he clocked a time of 24:54.5 to place 14th.
-Both Ames and Howkins took home All-MAC Second Team honors.
-Ohio returns to action on Nov. 12 as it heads to the 2011 NCAA Regional Championships in Toledo, Ohio.

Women's Cross Country
-Ohio sophomore Juli Accurso clocked a time of 20:35.3 to win the individual crown at the 2011 Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championship.
-Accurso (Casstown, Ohio) becomes the first Ohio runner to win the individual crown since Annie Beecham did so in 2008.
-Sophomore Emily Pifer (Canal Winchester, Ohio) also recorded a strong time as she clocked a performance of 21:17.6 to place seventh overall.
-Accurso and Pifer both received All-MAC First Team honors following their respective finishes.

Field Hockey
-Andrea Biegalski's second goal of the season proved to be the difference as Ohio closed the regular season with a 1-0 victory over Central Michigan.
-The Bobcats are the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MAC Field Hockey Tournament this week in Athens.
-The Bobcats matched the best MAC mark in program history with a 9-1 finish.
-Ohio has finished with a lone blemish in league play on five occasions, the last being in 2007. That season, the 'Cats advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
-On Friday, Ohio dropped its first game in MAC play this season with a 2-1 overtime setback at Kent State.

Women's Soccer
-The Bobcats made their third consecutive appearance in the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Sunday, dropping an 8-0 decision at the regular-season champion Toledo Rockets.

Swimming and Diving
-Ohio Swimming and Diving began its 2010-11 Mid-American Conference title defense in fine form this weekend, winning back-to-back dual meets at Bowling Green (168-121) and Eastern Michigan (151-149) to start the season 2-0 for the second time in the last three years.
-In the Eastern Michigan dual meet, the Bobcats trailed by 11 points heading into the final event. Both Ohio 400 freestyle relay teams stepped up in a big way, earning the top two spots to grab 15 team points and the win.
-Freshman diver Morgan Srail made an impression on the Bobcat record books Saturday, earning the fourth-best score ever achieved by an Ohio diver from the one-meter board. She qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones competition in just the second dual meet of the season.

-Ohio Volleyball earned the MAC East Division crown on Sunday with a 25-20, 28-26, 25-14 sweep of rival Miami.
-The Bobcats improved to 17-9, 9-3 in the MAC, behind Bilger's 13 kill, 15 block performance and Lamberti's match-high 15 kills.
-On Saturday, Ohio notched a season-high nine aces and persevered a five-set win at Bowling Green, 25-18, 23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-11.
-Kelly Lamberti tallied a Bobcat-best 20 kills, hitting .306 in the process, to go along with 14 digs.
