New partnership to focus on season, group ticket sales
Tanner Bond enters his second year as an assistant director of ticket sales for the Ohio University athletics department.
In his first year with the Bobcats, Bond led the ticket sales team in total revenue generated while helping set an athletics department revenue and attendance record for Ohio football and men's basketball season tickets. In addition, Bond worked closely with the Ohio OZONE student section to increase paid membership by 65 percent and assisted the Ohio volleyball program to sell season tickets and achieve a top-25 national attendance mark.
Bond came to Athens after spending two years as a ticket sales assistant at his alma mater, the University of Louisville. He co-designed a season ticket sales plan for the Cardinals which involved partnering with executives at local Fortune 500 companies and was individually responsible for creating close to $150,000 in additional season ticket revenue during the 2011 football season.
While in Louisville, Bond also sold, serviced and organized individual and group ticket sales for the 2010 Beef O'Brady's Bowl, served as a season ticket representative during the inaugural men's basketball season at the KFC Yum! Center and helped the Cardinals' sales team sell the most season tickets in school history during the 2011-12 season.
During his time in Louisville, Bond also served as a media volunteer during second and third round NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament action at the KFC Yum! Center in 2012 and worked the 72nd Senior PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club as an undergrad in 2010.
The Lexington, Ky., native graduated from Louisville in in 2011 with a degree in sport administration and is currently pursuing his MSA/MBA dual degree at Ohio University.
