Lauren Ashman is in her first year as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. In her newly appointed role, Ashman will oversee the department's compliance office.

Ashman brings nearly 10 years worth of collegiate experience to Athens. Most recently, she spent just over two years, working as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Coastal Carolina. During her time with the Chanticleers, the Latrobe, Pa., native served as a key member of the Director of Athletics' Cabinet and Department of Athletics Leadership, while also reporting directly to the University President.

In addition, Ashman served as the departmental contact for the Intitution's Academic Progress Rate (APR), Graduation Success Rate (GSR) and Equity in Athletics Disclosures Act (EADA). She was also involved with the Men's Basketball APR Improvement Plan Committee, while coordinating a rules education program for coaches, administrators, student-athletes and campus personnel.

Ohio University Athletics has named Lauren Ashman as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. In her newly appointed role, Ashman will oversee the department's compliance office.

As sports administrator Ashman worked with the Chanticleers' men's and women's tennis team.

During her time at Coastal Carolina, Ashman served as a member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA).

Ashman's most recent stint at Coastal Carolina marked the second time she had worked within the Chanticleers' Athletics Department. Her first stint spanned from June of 2004 till July of 2006, beginning as a compliance intern before elevating to the role of Assistant Compliance Coordinator.

In between, her time at Coastal Carolina, Ashman spent just over four years working within the Hofstra Athletics department, beginning as the institution's Assistant Director of Compliance (2006-08) before being promoted to an Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance in 2008.

During her tenure with the Pride, Ashman served as the primary point of reference for all compliance matters related to the athletics department, while serving as a departmental senior staff member. She also managed the operations of the newly developed Student-Athlete Academic Center and was the sport administrator for softball, baseball and men's and women's tennis.

Ashman earned her Bachelor's Degree from Slippery Rock University and is in the process of obtaining her Master's degree from the institution.
