Marissa Edwards enters her first year as a learning specialist in the Ohio University athletics department.

Edwards comes to Athens after spending the last two years as a graduate intern in the Fresno State athletic department. She earned her master's degree in kinesiology from the University in 2012.

During her tenure with the Bulldogs, Edwards worked in the compliance office (2009), hosted athletic department donors and alumni during home athletic events (2009-11) and assisted with annual fundraising, priority seating and special events for the Bulldog Foundation (2011). She also served as a media relations assistant during the NCAA Division I women's basketball regional held in Fresno (2012).

Edwards received her bachelor's degree in health and exercise science from Colorado State University in 2009 and was a two-year letter winner with the Rams' water polo team.

Edwards also spent a year as an intern in the Colorado State athletic department, working closely with the events coordinator in the marketing & development office to promote home athletic contests and facilitate special events.
