Matt Gilmore enters his first year as a coordinator in Ohio's NCAA Eligibility & Student-Athlete Success department. In that role, Gilmore works with the baseball, men's and women's cross country and women's track & field teams.

Prior to arriving in Athens, Gilmore served as an athletic academic coordinator graduate assistant at Concord University in Athens, W. Va. He also worked as a coordinator for Concord's Ahletic Graduation Retention Improvement Program (GRIP) while earning his master's degree in health promotion with an emphasis on sports management.

Gilmore spent the previous four years as an assistant baseball coach at his alma mater, Muskingum University, from 2008-12. He worked primarily with the team's outfielders and served as a bench coach and base coach for the team. In addition to his coaching duties, Gilmore served as a learning consultant with Muskingum University's PLUS Program.

The Cambridge, Ohio native graduated from Muskingum in 2008 with a degree in history and received his teaching license in adolescence to young adult integrated social studies. In 2014, Gilmore received his master's degree in health promotion from Concord University.
