HOW IT HAPPENED
⢠Florida Gulf Coast jumped ahead, 11-3, at the start of the first set behind senior outside hitter Leigh Pudwill's three kills and service aces by Carroll and freshman outside hitter Ciara DeBell. The Eagles had five service aces in the first set to contribute to their 25-11 triumph.

The Eagles reached set point at 24-18 on a kill by Carroll, but the Bobcats stayed alive with a kill by Januszewski, a service ace by Stephens, a Florida Gulf Coast attack error and another kill by Januszewski to make it a two-point set at 24-22.
