ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio baseball team will hold tryouts for the 2023-24 season. The Bobcats will hold tryouts on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 5:30 p.m. at Bob Wren Stadium.
 
An introductory meeting to receive paperwork and tryout itinerary will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at 4:30 p.m.
 
Those looking to tryout must be a full-time student and you must bring your own bat, glove and cleats in order to participate. 
 
Any student trying out for a team must submit proof of well physical in the last six months, documented results of a sickle cell test, and have the tryout waiver submitted.
 
If you are interested in trying out, please email Justin Sumner at js995721@ohio.edu to add your name to the try out list. You will not be able to participate in the tryout if you do not reach out ahead of time.
