The Bobcat Priority Points System

One important aspect of the benefits associated with the Ohio Bobcat Club is the creation of the Bobcat Priority Points System. The Bobcat Priority Points System will initially be used to prioritize ticket purchasing and seat location privileges for all post-season events (NCAA and NIT), bowl games, away contests, conference tournaments, and other away/special contests. The Bobcat Priority Points System will also be considered when season ticket holders request seat upgrades and when season ticket locations become available. This will be extremely relevant in regards to men's basketball and football seating.

Understanding Your Priority Points

The Ohio Bobcat Club awards priority points in several different categories that make up your priority point total. The formula includes all documented gifts to athletic department accounts within the Ohio University Foundation. The season ticket history starts in 2002. The formula is listed below:

Annual Giving Component

  • 1.5 points for each $100 contributed to the Ohio Bobcat Club unrestricted account
  • 1 point for each $100 contributed to any restricted athletic account
  • 50 points for each vehicle donated to the athletics department via the Bobcat Big Wheels Program
  • 1 point for each $500 contributed to any athletic account via gift-in-kind (all gifts-in-kind must be pre-approved by the athletics department)

    Ticket Component

  • 1 point for each season ticket purchased for men's basketball, women's basketball and football

    On-going Bonus Components

  • 1 point for each year of consecutive giving to athletics
  • 1 point for each consecutive year as a men's basketball, women's basketball and football season ticket holder

    Capital and Endowment Gifts

  • 1.5 points for each $100 contributed to the various athletics capital and endowment campaigns and projects. Gifts to these accounts will count toward priority points, but will not count toward annual benefits.
