Academics & Support



Ohio University strives for excellence in both athletics and academics. 19 student-athletes had a 4.0 GPA, 85 were named to the Dean's List and 236 were named to the AD's honor roll with a 3.0 GPA or better for the Spring 2009 quarter. The Department's cumulative GPA is 3.082 and the Spring 2009 quarter GPA was 3.039. 11 out of 16 teams have a team cumulative GPA above 3.0.

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

This group, composed of representatives from each team, serves as the voice of Ohio student-athletes. The committee offers comments on NCAA proposals, coordinates community service projects and addresses issues and concerns of all student-athletes. All student-athletes are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We are committed to abiding by all rules and regulations of those bodies. The NCAA governs the actions of our coaches and student-athletes, and has explicit guidelines that regulate the actions of our program.
