ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio baseball program is partnering with USA Baseball and the American Baseball Coaches Association to offer a free coaching clinic to all area youth coaches and parents, as announced by sixth-year head coach Rob Smith on Tuesday (March 20). The clinic will be held on Monday, April 2, at Walter Field House on the Ohio campus (50 South Green Drive) from 5-8 p.m. ET.
The clinic will be conducted by Smith and his Ohio coaching staff and will consist of fundamental training in hitting mechanics and drills, pitching mechanics and drills, infield mechanics and drills and practice organization.
Registration for the clinic will begin at 5 p.m. ET, with instruction beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. The clinic is designed to provide both coaches and parents the opportunity to learn and apply techniques to help their youth players gain more fundamentals, improve skills and enjoy the game of baseball even more.

Under the direction of Smith and his staff, the Bobcats have won two Mid-American Conference tournament titles and have made two NCAA Championship appearances over the last three years.
