DAYTON, Ohio – The Ohio Baseball team (3-9) fell to Wright State (6-8), 13-0, on Saturday afternoon at Nischwitz Field. Ohio was scheduled to play a doubleheader but the second game was cancelled due to rain.
Wright State grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second inning and added three runs in the fifth, two runs in the sixth and seven runs in the seventh for the final score of 13-0.
Freshman LHP Joe Rock (Aliquippa, Pa.) was given the loss and fell to 1-2 after tossing 4.2 innings while allowing three earned runs. Rock struck out three batters and allowed three hits.
Sophomore RHP Chace Harris (New Marshfield, Ohio) tossed 0.1 innings in relief in sixth inning and allowed four earned runs.
Ohio will wrap up their weekend tomorrow at a time to be determined. Ohio will either play Wright State or Canisius. Stay tuned to @Ohio_Baseball on twitter for updates.
