@Ohio_Baseball's Game At Marshall Cancelled, Home Opener Now Set For Thursday

ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio baseball team's Tuesday (March 14) game at Marshall has been cancelled.

The Bobcats (8-6) will now open up their 2017 home scheduled by hosting NAIA Shawnee State on Thursday (March 16). First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET at Bob Wren Stadium.

The contest against the Bears will mark the first of eight-straight home games for Ohio after playing its first 14 games of the season away from Athens. Ohio will host Siena for three games over two days this weekend. The Bobcats will play the Saints in a Saturday (March 18) doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. ET. Ohio and Siena conclude the weekend set on Sunday (March 19) in a noon ET matchup. The series finale will mark the first 'Sunday Funday' of the 2017 season, with all fans receiving free admission courtesy of OhioHealth. Kids will also have the opportunity to run the bases at Bob Wren Stadium following the game.
