Swimming and Diving Hosts Annual Intrasquad Meet Friday

Bobcats begin season with Friday exhibition

2013-14:Competed in all 12 meets during her first season with the Bobcats...Swam in 36 total evens and had five top-top three finishes during the season...Best time in the 100-yard backstroke was a 58.51 at the Mid-American Conference Championships prelims on Feb. 28...Top time in the 200-yard backstroke was a 2:04.65 in the prelims at the MAC Championships on March 1...In the 200-yard breaststroke she finished with a time of 2:32.65 at Virginia Tech on Nov. 23...Finished the 200-yard individual medley at the MAC Championships with a season-best 2:10.76 on Feb. 27.

2012-13: Redshirted. Did not compete during the 2012-13 season.

Prior to Ohio: Swam four years at Smoky Hill High School ... Team placed in the top 11 at the Colorado State Championships all four of her years, with the best place being a sixth-place finish in 2011 ... Two-time NISCA National All-American Medley Relay member (2009 and 2011) ... Ten-time NISCA State Top 16 Award member ... High Point award winner in 2009-12 ... Team captain 2011-12 ... Top times: 100 BK - 58.07, 200 BK - 2:03.18, 200 IM - 2:08.79.

Personal: Ohio team captain... Daughter of Marilyn Johnson ... Born March 5, 1994 ... Sister to older brother Kyle, and older sister, Kori... When not swimming, enjoys hiking, cooking, reading and crafting... Majoring in Special Education for children with moderate to intensive needs.

Chose Ohio because: "The university provides my intended major as well as athletics at the collegiate level. Swimming in college has always been a dream of mine and so has being a teacher. I like the people and campus here as well. Everything fits."
