FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Ohio University swimming & diving team is spending part of its winter break in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Fla., taking part in a 12-day training trip.
The Bobcats are training twice a day as they prepare for the spring stretch of their 2013-14 schedule and enjoying the sun and the beach while they are at it.
Several members of the team will be blogging about their experiences in Fort Lauderdale. Senior Kristin Capcik (Milwaukee, Wis.), redshirt senior MaryRose Hillstrom (Dimondale, Mich.) and junior Morgan Srail (Avon Lake, Ohio) recently weighed in on their experiences.
"After some long flights, we all arrived in Florida ready to catch some rays and work hard. Our first few days of practice we have dove with some familiar faces and also met new friends. The hard work doesn't seem so bad when you get to spend time at the beach in between practices. We have high hopes for 2014. Bring on the MAC!" - Kristin, MaryRose and Morgan
The Bobcats (3-1, 2-0 MAC) will return to competition on Jan. 11, traveling to Denison for a dual meet. The meet is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.
