ATHENS, Ohio- Ohio Swimming and Diving (9-2, 4-2 Mid-American Conference) welcomes the Eastern Michigan Eagles to the Aquatic Center on Saturday for what will be the final dual meet of the 2009-10 season for both teams. The Bobcats are currently riding high on a seven dual meet winning streak this season and have won 17 consecutive dual meets at home. The team is coming off a successful week that included victories at Xavier and Ball State and another conference Swimmer of the Week award (Rachel Heim), its fifth such award this season.

Eastern Michigan comes to Athens with a 5-5 record in the 2009-10 season, a mark that includes three wins and three losses in MAC competition. The Eagles’ record is a bit misleading, as the squad from Ypsilanti, Michigan, has posted a number of impressive times this season. Junior Sarah Kowalski owns the best conference mark in the 100 Freestyle, swimming a 51.06 on December 4. Another junior, Christie Connor holds two top conference marks as well, as her times in the 200 and 400 Individual Medley rank atop the leaderboards.

The Bobcats will have a few days away from competition after Saturday’s dual meet, as teams across the conference will be preparing for the MAC Championships on February 24-27 in Oxford, Ohio.
