ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University will host some of the nation's finest collegiate swimmers and divers as part of the 2011 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The championship will take place February 23-26 at the Ohio University Aquatic Center. The event will mark the first time since 2005 that Ohio has hosted the championship.
Action begins at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 23 with the finals in the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay. On Thursday, February 24 and Friday, February 25, swimming preliminaries begin at 11:00 a.m. ET, with finals commencing at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, February 26, preliminaries are at 11:00 a.m. ET, and finals are at 7:00 p.m. For complete event information and a schedule of events, click here.
All-session and daily passes are now on sale through the Ohio Athletic Ticket Office. Daily admission is $7 for adults and $5 for youth (18 and under), while all-session passes are $20 for adults and $15 for youth. Groups of 10 or more may attend for $3 per day, while admission for college students of participating institutions is FREE with a valid student ID.
There will be a charge for parking during sessions 1, 2, and 4. Session 1 is due to a Men's Basketball game that evening. Session 2 and 4 is due to the fact that it is during the day. The cost is $5 during those times and fans will be asked to park in lots 132 and 133 which are next to Peden Stadium.
