Bobcat Swimmers and Divers Earn Mid-Major All-American Honors

ATHENS, Ohio - More than a month after their last competition of the 2011-12 season, Ohio Swimmers and Divers continue to collect accolades. CollegeSwimming.com and the College Swimming Coaches Association of America recently announced the 2012 Mid-Major All-American Team, recognizing seven Bobcats among the 145 student-athletes selected from across the nation.

Laurin Williams (Shoreline, Wash.) was named to the Mid-Major All-America squad while Tori Bagan (Roanoke, Ind.), Abby Corcoran (Tucson, Ariz.), Lauren Funk (Springfield, Ohio), Emma Michaels (Findlay, Ohio), Sarah Owen (Portsmouth, England) and Rachel Stearns (Minnetonka, Minn.) earned Honorable Mention status.

CollegeSwimming.com and the CSCAA designated Honorable Mention status as "individuals who were entered with NCAA `B' standards but not selected for the 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships." For the full release, please click here.
