Katey Brooks swam on the 400 freestyle relay team which picked up a crucial first-place spot against EMU

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio Swimming and Diving recently received recognition from Profiles in Excellence, a national swimming publication. One of Ohio’s Mid-American Conference dual meets was named to the “Top Ten Most Exciting” list for the 2011-12 season.
With a 1-0 record and a recent victory over Bowling Green under their belts, the Bobcats traveled to Eastern Michigan for an Oct. 29 dual meet. Through 15 of the day's 16 events, the host Eagles held a 147-136 advantage, needing just a second-place finish in the final event of the day to earn the victory. Ohio was able to step up when it mattered most, taking the first and second spots in the 400 freestyle relay, picking up 15 points to shock the home crowd.
