OMAHA, Neb. - The red, white and blue of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials had a splash of green and white last week, as rising junior Chelsey Bower and rising sophomores Amanda Cecere and Rachel Heim all represented Ohio University at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb.

A CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major All-American as a freshman last season, Cecere (Chelmsford, Mass.) tied for 46th place in the 200-meter fly with a time of 2:15.73. The showing was a 23-place improvement over her seed, as the 2008 Mid-American Conference champion in the 200-yard fly entered the Trials ranked 69th of 95 entrants.

Heim (San Diego, Calif.) opened the meet on Sunday, June 29, with a 92nd-place finish in the 100-meter fly (1:02.29), and Bower (Bethel Park, Pa.) finished 80th in the 50-meter free (26.58) on Saturday, July 5, to conclude the Bobcats' run in Omaha.

Ohio will kick off the 2008-09 campaign at the Washington State Invitational, scheduled for Oct. 24 and 25 in Pullman, Wash.
