ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio swimming and diving will be making some ripples of its own as part of Homecoming weekend as it takes part in the annual Green and White Intra-Squad Meet Friday and the Varsity/Alumni Pentathlon Saturday.

Fans will get their first look at the 2010-11 aquatic `Cats Friday evening. Ohio will split the squad for the event with some of the swimmers and divers taking on the dual role as swimmers/divers and coaches for the event. Senior Kasey Tolbert (Yorktown, Ind.) will head up the Green squad, with Lindsay Hamilton (White City, Saskatchewan), Rachel Heim (San Diego, Calif.), Stacey Huber (Gainesville, Fla.) and Stella Johnson (Jacksonville, Fla.) assisting her. The White team will be led by Amanda Cecere (Chelmsford, Mass.), with Amanda Traylor (Los Alamitos, Calif.), Anne Donovan (Findlay, Ohio), Sarah Own (Portsmouth, Hampshire, England) and Kristen Witham (Fort Wayne, Ind.) assisting her.

Events for Friday's Green and White meet will get started at 5 p.m. with the 200 Medley Relay and conclude with the 200 Freestyle Relay. Student-athletes will be able to compete in up to four events, but no more than three can be individual events. All swimmers must take part in a relay during the event.

Following Friday's Green and White event, the team will take part in the Varsity/Alumni Pentathlon Saturday. The season will officially get under way Oct. 29 as the team heads to Eastern Michigan.
