Day 1 Results

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -- The Ohio University swimming and diving team (3-1, 2-0 MAC) finished day one of the H2Okie Invitational at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center with 131 points, putting the Bobcats in fifth place.

Junior Haleigh Bartlett (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) took second in the one-meter dive with a score of 281.15.

Senior Laurin Williams (Shoreline, Wash.) placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 4:55.81.

Sophomore Haley Clark (College Station, Texas) clocked a 23.43 to place fourth in the 50-yard freestyle, matching Lisa MacNicol for the ninth-best time in school history.

Sophomore Addison Ferguson (Westfield Center, Ohio), junior Tori Bagan (Roanoke, Ind.), sophomore Casey Papp (Bloomington, Ind.) and Clark teamed up to finish fifth in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:47.25.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Papp, freshman Josephine Barker (Richmond, N. Yorkshire), Bagan and Clark combined to clock a 1:35.84 to clinch sixth place.

The Bobcats return to action Friday for day two of the three-day H2Okie Invitational.
