Melissa Thompson Photo Gallery 2012: INDOOR SEASON: Thompson completed her sophomore indoor season with a season best time in the 3000m run at the Hoosier Hills Invitational with a time of 10:04. She went on to place fifth overall in the mile at the Mid-American Conference Championship with a time of 4:54, as well as helping her team to capture the Distance Medley Relay title, where she ran the first leg of the event. She added a 13th place finish in the 3000m at the MAC Championship with a time of 10:13. OUTDOOR SEASON: Highlighted her season with a personal record of 4:32 in the 1500m at the MAC Championship, placing fourth in the preliminary round, she went on to finish twelfth overall. She also clocked an personal best time of 11:01 in the 3000m steeplechase at the Raleigh Relays and a top-three finish at the Jesse Owens Track Classic, where she competed in the 1500m. 2011: INDOOR SEASON: Took first place in the mile at the Ohio State Invitational in her first event as a Bobcat. Also finished in ninth place in the 3000m at the same meet. Finished in first place at the MAC Championships as a member of the 4000DMR team. OUTDOOR SEASON: Took second place in the mile and finished in fourth place in the 3000 steeple event at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships. |
