Ohio Wraps Up Day Two At Hoosier Hills

Hoosier Hills Complete Results Get Acrobat Reader

The Ohio University women's track & field team completed the final day of competition at Hoosier Hills in Bloomington, Ind., Saturday afternoon, as three runners earned berths into the MAC Indoor Championships later this month.

The Bobcats earned strong finishes in the 3,000m run and placed three runners in the top-14 of the event. Junior Melissa Thompson (Westerville, Ohio) finished fourth in 9:44.36, freshman Kayla Scott (Canal Winchester, Ohio) placed fifth in 9:46.78, while sophomore Morgan Reichert (Pataskala, Ohio) earned a ninth-place finish in 9:55.63.

All three runners qualified for the MAC Indoor Championships in the event with their times on Saturday.

Two Bobcats also competed in the 60m hurdles Saturday. Sophomore Chanda Cuckler (Athens, Ohio) finished 11th in 9.03 while freshman Kristin Winkel placed 12th in 9.06. Cuckler's time was a top-25 performance in the event among MAC student-athletes this season.
