BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Ohio Bobcat track and field teams won a total of six events Saturday at Perry Field House on the campus of Bowling Green State University.

The Ohio men's and women's track and field teams competed against 12 other teams including Xavier University, University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton and MAC foes Toledo, Miami and Bowling Green.

On the track, Scott Mayle claimed the 60 meter dash title with a time of 6.76. In the preliminaries of the 60 meter race, Mayle ran a 6.73, which is his best time in the 60 meter dash this season and also is NCAA Provisional Qualifier time.

Other individuals title winners included Craig Leon, Dan Bailey, Austin Schiele and Eric Bildstein. Leon won the 5000 meter race with a time of 14:56.85. Bailey and Schiele won the 400 meter (50.22) and 3000 meter (8:32.81) races, respectively.

Junior Carime Reinhart grabbed the only top-two finish for the ladies, who finished fourth out of 13 teams. Reinhart placed second in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:42.58, which is the best time for an Ohio women's runner in the 5000 meter race this season.

On the field, the Bobcats managed a first place finish in the weight throw, as senior Eric Bildstein took first with a throw of 18.19. Sophomore Jordan Sharpe and senior Scott Mayle were also top finishers for the Bobcats, placing second in the high jump and long jump, respectively.
 

 

The Bobcats now only have one indoor meet remaining before the February 23-24 MAC Championships. Next up for the Bobcats is the Ohio State Invite on February 17 in Columbus, Ohio
