Senior Lauren McCullough returned to action for Ohio with a strong showing in the javelin throw.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Ohio University women's track & field team wrapped up competition Saturday at the Wake Forest Open at Kentner Stadium.
The Bobcats put forth a number of strong finishes on the final day of the event, including an excellent showing from senior Lauren McCullough (Lancaster, Ohio) in the javelin throw. Her mark of 38.16m is less than a meter off the MAC qualifying level and garnered her a 12th-place finish.
Fellow senior Olivia Vitou (Rocky River, Ohio) placed 18th with a throw of 34.68m.
In the discus throw, senior Alexa Macri (St. Clairsville, Ohio) earned a fifth-place finish with a mark of 42.57m, while junior Donyelle Brown (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) placed 14th with a throw of 39.17m.
Junior Chanda Cuckler (Athens, Ohio) performed at a high level in the long jump, placing third with a mark of 5.71m. The jump was just .01m off her personal best and should earn her a berth in the MAC Outdoor Championships.
In the 800m run, junior Delaney Bolger (Lebanon, Ohio) earned a 12th-place finish with a personal-best time of 2:16.33. Also on the track, Ohio's 4x400 relay team crossed the finish line in sixth place after posting a time of 3:56.67.
Sophomore Peyton Atkins (Gallipolis, Ohio) posted a personal-best time of 10:54.32 to earn a 15th-place finish in the 3,000m run.
Ohio returns to action March 28-29 at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold in Nashville, Tenn.
