NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Ohio University Women's Track & Field team wrapped up its final day of competition at the Black & Gold Invitational in Nashville and now returns to Athens with a number of individual and team accomplishments.

In field events, the Bobcats were led by a superb performance from freshman Ashlee Bilhimer. The Gardner, Kan., native took first place in the event with an excellent throw of 39.82m. The mark earned the freshman her second-straight top-10 in the javelin this season. She will compete for Ohio in the MAC Outdoors in May after earning a javelin berth at last weekend's Wake Forest Open.

She was joined in the top-5 by a pair of Bobcats. Senior Lauren McCullough (Lancaster, Ohio) took third place with a solid throw of 36.04m, while senior Olivia Vitou (Rocky River, Ohio) took fifth place at 34.58m.

Senior Alexa Macri (St. Clairsville, Ohio) also earned her second-straight top-10 in the discus, finishing seventh with a mark of 39.08m.

Ohio's jumps unit was led by freshman Taylor Smith, who finished second in the high jump with a strong mark of 1.61m. In the long jump, freshman Olivia Mayfield finished sixth with a jump of 5.54m, while sophomore Erika Armstead (Cincinnati, Ohio) was 11th with a mark of 5.26m.
