ATHENS, Ohio — The Ohio track & field team took to Goldsberry track on Friday for their final tuneup before opening actions t the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships hosting the Ohio Open.
Ohio took the top four spots in the 200 meter dash led by freshman Erin Stewart (Marietta, Ohio) clocking a time of 26.27.
Freshman Gracie Huffman (Pleasant Hill, Ohio) picked up the win in the 400 meter run with a time of 59.04.
Senior Kristin Winkel (Avon Lake, Ohio) won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.85.
Junior Taylor Smith (Canal Winchester, Ohio) picked up another win in the high jump reaching 1.60m.
Junior Olivia Mayfield (Beachwood, Ohio) took the top spot in the women’s long jump at 5.97m while senior Erika Amsted (Cincinnati, Ohio) took the win in the triple jump at 11.14m.
Junior Emma Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) won the discus with a throw of 45.33 while sophomore Jordan Porter (South Point, Ohio) took top marks in the shot put at 14.44m. Ryan also captured the top spot in the javelin at 43.23m.
On Thursday night, senior Allison Roeth (Vincent, Ohio) competed a the Virginia Tech Twilight Meet winning the 5K with a time of 17:55.32.
Ohio will await the selections for the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships next week.
