Bobcats In Seventh After Second Day At MAC Outdoors

Day 2 Results Get Acrobat Reader

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Ohio track & field team continued action at the 2016 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday sitting in seventh place after day two of competition.

The Bobcats have picked up 26 team points after two days of action. Akron leads the competition with 55 team points.

Ohio senior Chanda Cuckler (Athens, Ohio) took third in the heptathlon scoring 5,012 points. Cucler won the javelin with a throw of 128-10 and was second in the long jump at 18-0.25.

Bobcat sophomore Jordan Porter (South Point, Ohio) finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 50-0.00. Ohio senior Donyelle Brown (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) was 10th at 45-3.5.

Ohio senior Kristin Winkel (Avon Lake, Ohio) clocked the second-fastest qualifying time in the 100 meter hurdles posting a time of 14.08.

Bobcat senior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) took 10th in the 10K with a time of 36:52.37.

Ohio senior Tessa Weigand (Akron, Ohio) posted the sixth-fastest qualifying time in the 1,500 meter run at 4:39.84.

Action at the MAC Outdoors wraps up on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. with the women’s discus.
