Men Open Season at Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Ohio men’s track and field team opened the 2003 season Friday with an unscored Open meet at Cincinnati.

A pair of Bobcats notched first place finishers, with junior Ron Hill (Martins Ferry) winning the 400 meter run (50.8) and senior Cary Snyder (Charlotte, NC) taking first in the 1600 meter run.

Senior Roger Redd (Pickerington) also performed well in the meet, placing second in both the 55 meters (6.57) and the 200 meters (23.07).

Other top-three finishers for Ohio were sophomore Patrick Harvey (Zanesville), who took third in the 800 meters (2:01.7), freshman Jeremy Keesee (Marysville), who was third in high jump (6’4”), and freshman Shane Gibson (Greensville), who was third in shot put (45’10”).

The Bobcats will head to Bowling Green this Saturday, January 18 to compete against BG, Miami (OH), and Detroit. The meet is set for a noon start time.
