ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio track and field team will head north to Columbus to compete in the Capital Invitational on Friday night. The event, hosted by Capital University and officially named the Rev. Mike Hout Invite, begins on Friday night with field events and moves on to track events on Saturday. Capital University competes in the Division III Ohio Athletic Conference with schools such as Kenyon College. Bluffton, Muskingum, Wittenburg, Central State, Cedarville, Wilmington College and Rio Grande are the other schools set to compete at the two-day event.

 

Ohio's MAC Rankings

There are a total of five Bobcats have posted times or marks in the top 10 overall in their respective events. Bahiyjaui Allen has the third longest throw in the shot put, with a distance of 47 feet, 2.25 inches. Carime Reinhart holds the fourth best time in the MAC in the 3,000 meters this season, coming in at 10:06.61 last weekend at the Kent State Double Dual. Jessie Tanner holds the eight best toss in the weight throw while Melissa Wiley has the ninth best time in the 60 meter hurdles and Julia Weisenborn has the 10th fastest time in the MAC in the 5,000 meters to round.
