Ohio Finishes Day One of Findlay Classic

    FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Ohio men's and women's track and field teams finished day one of the Findlay Classic with several top-ten finishers. Team results will be decided when action resumes on Saturday morning.

    On the women's side, Rachael Diehl took fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.35m, while Jaclyn Lugaila claimed ninth in the weight throw.

    Melissa Gedeon was Ohio's top female performer, finishing second in the pentathlon.

    In the men's division, Brian List and Toni Turowski took sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 5000-meter run.

    The Bobcats claimed fourth in the 4X800 meter relay and the distance medley, while Shane Gibson nabbed ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.86.

    Chad Lutz led Ohio on the men's side with a third-place finish in the pentathlon.

    The Bobcats will return to action Saturday morning at the Findlay Classic.
