Women's Track Competes at Scarlet and Gray Invitational

Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio women's indoor track team competed at the Scarlet and Gray Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.

Freshman Monique Taylor (Whitby, Ont.) captured the only Bobcat first place finish with a mark of 36-7 3/4 in the triple jump. Foli James (Albany) also placed well in the performance-only meet. The sophomore registered a second place finish in the long jump (17-11) and an eighth place finish in the 60m hurdles (9.30). James also placed eighth in the high jump with a mark of 5-3 3/4.

Sophomore Melody Royster (Heath) contributed with a pair of fifth place finishes in the 60m dash (7.89) and the 60m hurdles (9.04). The 60-meter dash time was new season-high for Royster.

Other Bobcat top-ten finishes include Sarah List (4th, 5-5 3/4) in the high jump, Michelle Borsz (5-5 3/4) in the high jump, C'Rai Weeden (7th , 58.88) in the 400m dash, Leah Jones (7th, 2:23.39) in the 800m, Allison Jochum (9th, 2:24.18) in the 800m, Heather Moore (3rd, 36-2) in the triple jump and Martine Ward (4th, 36-2) in the triple jump. The Bobcats 4x400 relay team captured fourth with a season-best time of 3:59.44.

The Bobcats will be back on the track Febraury 23rd and February 24th at the MAC Championships in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
