Track & Field Set to Host Bobcat Invitational

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio track and field team will host athletes from several schools on Saturday for the Bobcat Invitational. The Bobcat Invitational will be the second home meet of the season at Goldsberry Track. Ohio will welcome athletes from Buffalo, Cedarville, Hillsdale, Malone, Rio Grande, Notre Dame (OH) and Toledo.

The Field

Women: Buffalo, Cedarville, Hillsdale, Malone, Rio Grande, Notre Dame (OH), Toledo

Men: Buffalo, Cedarville, Hillsdale, Malone, Rio Grande, Notre Dame (OH)

The Schedule

The one-day event is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the start of the men's hammer throw and the women's shot put. The day ends with the men's and women's 4X400 relay's scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m. For an event schedule click HERE.

The Venue

Ohio's Goldsberry Track is a state-of-the-art running surface completed in May of 2000. The surface consists of rekortan, a material mixed of rubber granules and a liquid fixative atop asphalt. Located west of Bob Wren Stadium, the track surrounds Peggy Pruitt Field, the artificial-turf surface that is home to Ohio's field hockey program. Admission to the Bobcat Invitational is free to the public.

Individual and team scores will be made available immediately following the conclusion of the Bobcat Invitational on the official website of Ohio Athletics, www.ohiobobcats.com.
