OXFORD, Ohio – Led by a quartet of fifth-place finishes, the Ohio men’s track and field team placed eighth out of 10 teams at the Miami Invitational on Saturday.
Junior Jason Linton (Vincent) grabbed one of those fifth-place spots in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:59.48. Other Bobcats that took fifth-place spots were Brian King (Richfield, Minn.) in the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:49.97), Drew Frum (Poland) in the 5000-meter run (14:56.46), and Michael Troyer (Newark) in the pole vault (4.70m). Junior Eric Bildstein (North Olmsted) placed sixth in the hammer throw (45.83m) to add points for the Bobcats.
Ohio will return to action April 16th when they travel to Columbus to compete in the All-Ohio Championships. The All-Ohio Championships will begin on Friday, April 16 and conclude on Saturday, April 17.
