ATHENS, Ohio - A group of 15 in-state teams will make the trek to Athens this weekend to compete at the All-Ohio Championships, hosted by the Ohio University women's track & field team.

Men's and women's squads from NCAA Division I, II and NAIA will participate in the two-day event Friday and Saturday at the Goldsberry Track. The Bobcats are hosting the annual meet for the first time since 2010.

The participating Division I teams include Ohio State, Cincinnati and Dayton, as well as MAC foes Akron, Kent State and Miami.

Action gets underway at 2 p.m. Friday with the men's decathlon and women's long jump, while Saturday events commence at 10 a.m. as the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon continue. The majority of the running events will be held from 12:10 p.m.-4:50 p.m. on Saturday.

The Bobcats are coming off a second-place finish at last weekend's Ohio Team Challenge in Athens, where four Ohio student-athletes won individual events.

Janiece Rose (Franklinville, N.J.) highlighted the Ohio unit on the field at the event, as the talented sophomore posted a personal-best throw of 13.81m to win the shot put. This weekend, Rose will compete in the shot put as well as the hammer throw.

Junior Juli Accurso (Casstown, Ohio) returns to action in the 10,000m Friday night after sitting out last weekend's Ohio Team Challenge. Last time out, Accurso finished 20th in the highly competitive Section 1 of the 10,000m run at the Stanford Invitational by crossing the finish line in 33:52.33. Accurso's time was just two seconds off of the Ohio school record and puts her in strong position to earn an NCAA first round berth in the event this season.

In middle distance action, senior Danielle Winningham (Barboursville, W. Va.) will look to impress once again in the 800m run Saturday. Winningham captured the 800m title at the Ohio Team Challenge in a season-best 2:13.24. She will also participate in Ohio's 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays.

Live results will be available on both days of competition. Click here or at the top of the page for a full list of events and real-time results.
