Meet Information

ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Track and Field heads to Oxford this weekend for the All-Ohio Championships at Miami University. Action starts at 2 p.m. on Friday and continues at 10 a.m. on Saturday. After competing in Columbus last weekend, the Bobcats look to have another strong spring outing at George Rider Track.

A total of 16 women's teams from schools in the state of Ohio are set to compete in the All-Ohio Championships. In addition to the Bobcats, four other Mid-American Conference schools will be in attendance as Akron, Bowling Green, Kent State and host Miami are scheduled to participate

Cincinnati, Dayton, Wright State, Xavier and Ohio State will be the other Division I teams competing. Division II schools Ashland, Central State, Findlay, Lake Erie College and Tiffin, as well as NAIA member Shawnee State, are taking part in the All-Ohio Championships, as well.

The two-day meet begins Friday at 2 p.m. with the women's hammer throw. The first of four events in the women's heptathlon start at 3 p.m. with the 100m hurdles. The women's 5000m run is the first race at 5 p.m.

Saturday the meet resumes at 10 a.m. with the final three events of the heptathlon. The women's long jump and shot put begin field action at noon while the first race on the track is the women's 4x100m relay at 12:10 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for youth. Students can get in for free with a valid student ID. Programs and heat sheets will also be available and sold together for $2 at the entrance to the track.
