ATHENS, Ohio -
The Ohio University women's track and field team will compete in their penultimate meet of the outdoor season this weekend as the Bobcats travel to Oxford, Ohio to compete in the RedHawk Invitational on Saturday.

The meet will mark the first of two final events for the `Cats before hosting the MAC Outdoor Championships at home May 15-17.

Events in Oxford start promptly on Saturday at 11 a.m. and run until 3:30 p.m. at the George L. Rider track.

Participating teams include host Miami and MAC foe Ball State, as well as local squads Cedarville, Cincinnati, Dayton, Wright State and Xavier.

Sophomore Donyelle Brown (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) will lead the team in field events after a dominating performance last week at the Jesse Owens Track Classic in Columbus. Brown set a personal best and new school record in the hammer throw at 57.89m.

She will compete in the hammer throw and shot put at Miami. Brown will also be accompanied by teammate Janiece Rose (Franklinville, NJ) in both events.

In distance events, the Bobcats will be represented by several athletes. Sophomores Allison Roeth (Houston,Ohio) and Peyton Adkins (Gallipolis, Ohio) will compete in the 3000m steeplechase. Senior Morgan Meade (Marion, Ohio) will also represent Ohio in the 5000m along with teammate and sophomore Stephanie Loshbough (Johnstown, Ohio).

Senior Kara Jackson (Bidwell, Ohio) will lead the Bobcats in sprints competing in a trio of events with the 200m, 400m, and 4x400m relay. Jackson has set two new personal bests this season in the 400m (56.92) and 200m (26.43).
