Bowling Green, Ohio - For the second consecutive time this season, the Ohio women's cross country team took first place. Junior Carime Reinhart (Bascom, Ohio) led the Bobcats to the team victory with a time of 17:56.87 in the 5K race. The women's team won first place over the host, Bowling Green State, by three points. On the men's side, the Bobcats finished fourth.

Reinhart's time of 17:56.87 earned her a second place finish in the women's field, while Jamie Roflow from Bowling Green State placed first with a time of 17:53.05.

The Bobcats had four runners finish in the top-10, with Reinhart finishing second, Anne Beecham (Granville, Ohio) finishing fifth, Kari Summers (Troy, Ohio) finishing seventh and Rachel Beakas (Waterville, Ohio) finishing ninth.

On the men's side, the Bobcats had one runner finish in the top-10. Junior Brian King (Richfield, Minn.) finished seventh with a time of 25:37.57 in the 8K race. Shamus Eaton (Uniontown, Ohio) was the Bobcats second best runner, finishing the race in 26:12.74, which earned him 18th place.

Eastern Michigan won the men's race followed by Cincinnati, Central Michigan and Ohio. Bowling Green and Youngstown also participated in the event.
 

 

Next on the slate for the Bobcats is their last home meet of the season, where the men's and women's teams will compete in the Ohio Invitational on Sept 23.
