ATHENS, Ohio - Senior Brian King (Richfield, Minn.) placed 12th overall and was the lone Bobcat runner to finish in the meet's top-25 as the Ohio men's cross country team placed seventh in a 25-team field on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Notre Dame Invite. Ohio tallied 250 team points, trailing Hillsdale College, North Central College, Windsor, Notre Dame, University of Wisconsin (Oshkosh) and race winner Calvin College. The Bobcat women's team finished 18th in a 19-team field and earned 421 team points.

King was the top Ohio finisher in the men's race, with a time of 25:16. His time was almost 35 seconds faster than any other Bobcat runner.

Shamus Eaton (Uniontown, Ohio) was the only other Ohio runner that placed in the meet's top-50. Eaton placed 39th with a time of 25:50.

On the women's side, the Bobcats were led by junior Carime Reinhart (Bascom, Ohio). Reinhart finished 52nd overall in the race with a time of 17:45. Senior Andrea Maas (Cincinnati, Ohio), who finished the race in 17:56, was the only other Bobcat runner to finish in the top-75.

Finishing in 18th in a talented field of runners, Ohio placed ahead of Purdue (19th).
 

 

Next on the slate for the Bobcats is a trip to Delaware, Ohio where the men's and women's teams will compete in the All-Ohio Championship on Friday, Oct. 6. The first race will begin at 2 p.m.
