ATHENS, Ohio - With the MAC Championships looming on the horizon, the Ohio men's and women's cross country teams get one final tune-up at Pre-Nationals on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.

Indiana State University, which also hosts the National meet on Nov. 19, welcomes teams from around the country to the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center.

Three men's and three women's races will be held on Saturday. The top-level men's and women's Blue Races feature 25 nationally ranked teams combined including No. 1 Stanford (women's) and No. 2 Wisconsin (men's).

Both of Ohio's teams will compete in the White Race. Start time for the men will be 11:40 a.m. and the women follow at 12:55 p.m. At last year's Pre-Nationals the men's team took 10th behind Shamus Eaton's 62nd place while the women's squad took 25th with Carime Reinhart (Boscom) in 58th place leading the way for the `Cats.

Teams not registered in time or sending incomplete teams will compete in the men's and women's open event following the Blue and White races.

Ohio's Craig Leon will look to add to his prodigious marks in 2007, attempting to finish in the top-three for the fifth consecutive race.

Next weekend, the Bobcats will compete in the MAC Championships hosted by Central Michigan and the women's team will be traveling to Mount Pleasant, Mich., looking to defend their 2006 team title.
