Ohio Football Holds First Scrimmage of Fall Camp

ATHENS, Ohio –The Ohio football team held its first scrimmage of fall camp on Friday (Aug. 17) morning, inside Peden Stadium. 

The scrimmage pitted the Ohio offense against the defense and consisted of 80 plays, with some special teams action added to the middle.

Following the scrimmage, OhioBobcatTV and Russ Eisenstein caught up with head coach Frank Solich to see how the morning went. 

The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow for their 12thpractice of the fall. Practice will begin later than usual, with a 3 p.m. start time inside Peden Stadium. The practice will also consist of Bobcat Fan Day, where fans will be able to come enjoy practice following the Ohio Volleyball match against Pitt. There will be an autograph session following practice, and fans in attendance will receive a free GAME ON poster.

Ohio will open the 2018 season on Sept. 1 with a 2 p.m. ET matchup against Howard at Peden Stadium. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN+. Click here for ticket information or call 1-800-575-CATS (2287).
