ATHENS, Ohio– Beginning this athletic year, the Ohio Athletic Department will have a large presence on ESPN+ as many live broadcasts of Ohio Athletics events will be carried exclusively on the new direct-to-consumer streaming platform. This includes, but is not limited to, football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and wrestling. Select road contests of other Olympic sports may also be available on the new platform. A portion of Ohio's live broadcast schedule will continue to be available on ESPN3.  Mid-American Conference digital content throughout the year will be available on both ESPN3 and ESPN+.

Ohio's ESPN+ schedule begins Saturday, Sept. 1 when the football team hosts Howard for the Bobcats' season opener at 2 p.m. EST inside Peden Stadium. The schedule will continue the following weekend, Sept. 7-8, with the volleyball team's Bobcat Invitational presented by Texas Roadhouse matches will also airing on ESPN+.

ESPN+ is the premium multi-sport, direct-to-consumer video service from The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment and ESPN. It offers fans thousands of additional live events, on-demand content and original programming not available on ESPN's linear TV or digital networks.

Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ for just $4.99 a month (or $49.99 per year) through the ESPN App or ESPN.com.  ESPN's "TV Everywhere" streaming of its television networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.) and ESPN3, is also accessible via the ESPN App and ESPN.com for fans with a pay TV subscription. There are no contracts with ESPN+, and fans can sign up and cancel anytime. However, you must have a subscription to view ESPN+ content. All fans are also welcome to try ESPN+ free for 30 days if you sign up prior to Sept. 2. 

Ohio fans will be able to watch the Bobcats anywhere whether its mobile, desktop, or TV-connected devises such as Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, etc. Also, one ESPN+ subscription can have up to five devices streaming simultaneously.  

ESPN+ includes hundreds of MLB, NHL and MLS games, Grand Slam tennis, Top Rank boxing, PGA Tour golf, college sports, international rugby, cricket, the full library of ESPN Films (including 30 for 30) and more. The channel is an integrated part of the completely redesigned ESPN App.
