Ohio Field Hockey Places Three On All-MAC Teams

Ohio field hockey senior forward Emma Eggleston (Houston, Texas) has garnered 2018 First Team All-Mid-American Conference Honors while sophomore midfielder Jillian Shive (Lebanon, Ohio) and sophomore defender Leah Warren (Hamilton, New Zealand) have earned a spot on the 2018 Second Team All-MAC, as announced by the league office on Wednesday (Oct. 31).

Senior forward Emma Eggleston was awarded First Team All-MAC honors. This is second time in her career achieving MAC Team honors, but the first under first year head coach Ali Johnstone. Eggleston has played every game this season leading into the MAC tournament. She has tallied one goal and five assist this season accumulating seven points for the Bobcats. Eggleston was found on both sides of the field with her hustle and physical game play. 

Sophomore midfielder Jillian Shive was awarded Second Team All-MAC honors this year. Shive was a leading force for the Bobcats leading the team in goals scored this season with nine and was also noticed as one of the conference's top scorers. Shive also has a shot on goal percentage of .889 also high ranking in the conference. Shive has tallied one assist and one defensive save this season. Overall producing nineteen points for the Bobcats.

Sophomore Defender Leah Warren was awarded with Second Team All-MAC honors this year. Warren has played in all fourteen games this season for the Bobcats. She has scored two goals this season companied by one assist. Through the season leading into the MAC tournament Warren has tallied five points for the Bobcats. For her well displayed power shots during penalty corners, Warren carries a .542 shots on goal percentage.
