Oxford, Ohio—After a strong tournament run the Ohio field hockey team fell to host Miami 5-0 in the MAC Tournament semifinal match at the Miami Field Hockey Complex.
The Bobcats were nose to nose with the RedHawks keeping the first half of the match scoreless. Miami would strike first in the second half with junior forward Kenzie Peterson scoring in the 42nd minute. The RedHawks would go on to score four more goals in the second half, the last coming in the 66th minute of the game when sophomore forward Taylor Curran received a back door pass from junior forward Gabby Luxardo to score the final goal of the game.
The Ohio defense led by Senior goalkeeper Alex Pennington (Easton, Pa.) made fourteen saves for the Bobcats in 70 minutes of play.
This closes-out the 2018 campaign for the Bobcats with an overall record of 5-12. Ohio will graduate just a pair of players, senior forward Emma Eggleston (Houston, Texas) and senior goalkeeper Alex Pennington.
