Zach Hartle will serve as a student assistant coach for the Bobcats in 2009, after competing for Ohio the previous two seasons. Below are his accomplishments while playing for the Bobcats.

2008: Started 55 games at shortstop, collecting 64 hits, while batting .284 ... Scored 42 runs, while driving in 30 ... Hit 10 doubles, two triples and five home runs to help his .413 slugging percentage ... Totaled 93 bases ... Earned 10 walks for a .314 on-base percentage ... Had a team-high seven sac hits and stole seven bases in just nine tries ... Led the team with 173 assists, while also recording 103 putouts ... Scored a season-high four runs March 29 against Western Michigan ... Had 16 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games.

2007 Summer League: Played for the Southern Ohio Copperheads of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League ... was joined by five other current Bobcat teammates ... Had 93 at bats in 27 games ...
